Hardcover second edition in very good condition. Published as the “New and Cheaper Edition”, with map and illustrations and is an account of a missionary’s six-year residence in Eastern Equatorial Africa. Externally, some light wear and toning to the cover and minor wear to the extremities. At the top end of the spine there is a small tear, but binding is tight. Internally, shadowed endpapers and inscription to half-title page. Some foxing to protective sheet between front plate and title page. There is a small nick where the map joins the page.
