Rare, first edition,  hardcover, in good condition. An account of the Characteristics and Capabilities of this British Dependency. Published under the Authority of the Government Immigration Board, for the Guidance and Information of Emigrants. With a fold-out map of the Colony of Natal at the front. The spine has been re-backed but the binding is firm and tight with dark brown embossed boards. The book has the armorial bookplate and signature of Randlord J Jeppe Johannesburg to the front paste down and another signature of Jeppe is reflected on page 100 in the left margin. Binding is firm with some light wear to spine ends and corners of embossed covers. Internally, some foxing throughout and some pages have coloured with age. Please see photos provided as these serve to reflect the condition in conjunction with details provided.
